Exciting news! Erin came up with a great idea, to have a question and answer session with Richard Simpkin. You probably will remember , he is the last person photographed with Michael. I'm pleased to announce he has accepted our invitation. So take a look at his website www.richardsimpkin.com.au. I'm sure you'll be able to come up with some interesting questions for him! Please do not ask them on this thread, but rather PM them to me and I will collect them and send them on to him. Please have your questions to me by SATURDAY, MAY 30. Thanks!

Awesome news!!! Is there anything that's off limits for him? I'm assuming it's specifically about his contact with Michael over the years, right? (Just wanna be sure! ;D) You know you'll be hearing from me!

Richard's a lovely guy, i could really see why Michael was so taken with him when I met him a couple of years ago. A real gentleman

His book is pretty incredible.

I was checking out his site last night and I was thoroughly impressed. Although I have to admit I'm most interested in the Hutch photo exhibit he has planned with never seen photos........I think he should make a book of all his Hutch pics.....I'd buy that sucker in a heartbeat!

Hey, this is just brilliant news! Right now I'm drawing a complete blank on what I might like to ask Richard... Well, I may not have anything to ask but at the very least I'll be looking forward to reading his answers to all your questions!

I am so happy that we get to ask questions about Michael. I'm probably happier that he was and still is one of the best friends to Michael over the years.

Richard was probably one of the few people in Michael's life that didn't expect anything from him. There is a definite reason that their lives came together as they did..without that chance meeting..we may not have all the lovely pics and memories that Richard has so beautifully captured. This is a brilliant idea..thanks to everyone who helped make this happen.

What an absolutely brilliant idea Erin. A huge thank you to whomever approached Richard to do this. How wonderful and opportunity is this. I will absolutely be putting some questions together and will send them over before the due date.
Thanks again. This is such a remarkable chance to get some insights into Michael via someone who clearly knew and appreciated Michael and whom Michael clearly felt the same way about. Someone untainted by all the drama post Michael's passing.

Many thanks to Erin for giving us this great suggestion and for VC for taking the lead on this. I hope we come up with a great list of questions for Richard! I'm really looking forward to seeing the questions!
Many thanks to Richard for doing this for us. I know he's a very busy guy and for him to take time out for us really means a lot! Thank you Richard!

It's a great photo, yes! But... I'm wondering... Is that the (or among the) last photo(s) of Michael and Richard together? Maybe I could submit that as an official question but somehow I feel the question(s), if I actually come up with any, ought to be more cheerful in celebration of Michael. Richard certainly has so many great memories to share of happier times.

Does anyone know if Richard has plans of publishing a photo book of his photos about Michael? I'm not sure this is a question worth asking on the Q&A, so I thought I'd ask you. I'd love to see those photos and I'm sure most of us would, but most of us have no chance of seeing his exhibition let alone purchase his editions. But a book, that I'd buy in a flash!! ;D

Maybe he could tell me how to use my disposable camera..I can't figure out where to load the film Umm... You're joking, right..? Maybe I'm missing something here. I'm assuming you do know what a disposable camera is! ;D (The film is in it already and once you've taken all the photos, you take it to a store to get them developed. You can't reload it - that's why it's disposable...)
